Virtual organizing is provided using technology (smartphone, tablet, or computer) and is an excellent alternative to hiring an on-site Professional Organizer. During virtual organizing sessions we work with you to design custom organizing systems and teach organizing skills that last a lifetime.
What are the benefits of virtual organizing?
Virtual organizing allows us to provide you with support and accountability to achieve your organizing goals even when you are not able to have an on-site Professional Organizer visit. Shorter virtual sessions are often more cost-effective and easier to schedule for people with time restraints such as childcare and work commitments. Lastly, in times when social distancing is called for, virtual organizing is the safest option to get help from a professional while moving your project forward.
Is virtual organizing for me?
We have 4 requirements to become a virtual organizing client with Put it Simply Organizing, LLC:
Ability to learn through listening (auditory learner).
Have the motivation to do homework between sessions.
Ability to lift and move objects.
Capability to participate in virtual sessions for 1.5 hr blocks of time.
What technology do I need?
If you have a smartphone, tablet, or computer, you have what you need. We will use Zoom or FaceTime during sessions. We can walk you through how to use the technology if you are new to this.
How much does it cost?
We offer three and six session packages that include an assessment, subsequent virtual sessions, and email support following each session. Additional sessions can be added individually. Payment is due prior to the assessment session. Please inquire for current pricing.
Why is there a 3 session minimum on packages?
We have found that clients typically need support around the "how to's" of organizing early on. A minimum of three sessions allows us to refine those skills and also get a good amount of work done too!
How long is each virtual session and how often do we meet?
Virtual sessions are 1.5 hrs each in length. Sessions can be scheduled as often as needed based on your timeline and goals but are often done weekly.
How many rooms can I get done with each package?
How quickly we progress through the project depends on how quickly you make decisions and how much homework you do between sessions. Some people can take what they learned in the sessions and continue on their own while others like the continued support and request additional sessions.
Will I have homework between virtual sessions?
Yes! We will provide you with homework and a shopping list (if applicable) to work through between sessions. The more you get done between sessions, the faster the project will progress. Don't worry though, we will provide email support after each session to help answer questions if you get stuck and to check on how your homework is coming along.
